PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk (BTel) is a fixed wireless telecommunications network provider via its FWA Limited Mobility service, through products such as Esia, Wifone, EsialTel, and Wimode. BTel has developed its business and organization based on the budget operator model, offering “Better Products at Lower Prices” to all “Value Conscious Customers” through a strategy of disruptive innovation that focuses on the subscriber.

Established under name of PT Radio Telepon Indonesia (Ratelindo) in 1993, in line with the technological advancement, BTel launched Esia by utilizing CDMA 2000-1x technology in Jakarta, West Java, and the Banten area by the end of 2003. BTel became a publicly listed company on the Jakarta Stock Exchange (now Indonesia Stock Exchange) in 2006.

Having received the license to provide nationwide fixed wireless telecommunication services, BTel started to expand its business nationwide in 2007. BTel has acquired more than 8 million subscribers in 64 cities throughout Indonesia.
